Updating XReach on RealWear with Foresight
How to force an XReach update using Foresight
In a nutshell
Once your RealWear Glasses have been added to the XReach Foresight system, Reboot the device and make sure you have the newest XReach by checking the version.
Longform
In order to update XReach to your RealWear Glasses device, you will need the following:
A charged set of RealWear Glasses. Don't try any updates without making sure you have at least 50% battery in your Glasses. Don't brick your device.
Stable Wi-Fi connection. No internet, no updates.
Starting the update
If you are in an app, or anywhere at all in the RealWear OS, say Navigate Home
.
Then say My Programs -> My Controls -> Power Options -> Reboot
Your RealWear Glasses will now restart. After this, wait for 1 or 2 minutes, and say My Programs -> XReach
.
There are two places you can check for the version of your XReach app.
While logged into XReach, say Settings -> About XReach
and you will see the App version.
If you are not logged into XReach, the Login screen will display the App version.
Your Wi-Fi speed will also control how quickly or slowly the update is downloaded and installed. You might even get notified by the RealWear Glasses that a new update of XReach has been installed.
